HOW DO I PREP MY HAIR?
Maintenance appointments- Please come with detangled, and sectioned hair, or feel free to add on a detailing service *please be sure to detangle root buildup post protective styles or add on a detangling service. Failure to do so can result in matting, breakage and thinning. Color service prep- hair needs to washed and cleaned, detangled, dry, with little to no products (leave in conditioner is acceptable) the day of my appointment. *
WHAT IS HAIR DENSITY?
Hair density is not associated with texture. Your hair density is the number of strands of hair growing out of each square-inch of your scalp. You can estimate your hair density at home by examining your scalp or measuring the circumference of a ponytail.
WHY DO I NEED A CONSULTATION?
A hair consultation is an important part of any hair care service, especially when it comes to deciding on hair goals, a new style, or color change. It gives you an opportunity to get to know your stylist and give your stylist the chance to analyze your hair, learn about your lifestyle, beauty routines (and whether you have any), determine what is required, and how long it will take to achieve your hair goals.
WHY DO COLOR SERVICES TAKE SO LONG?
First and foremost, maintaining the integrity of your hair is top priority. Color services done by a professional stylist on average can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, and can even extend to as long as 8 hours depending on your hair’s condition, length, natural color, and intricacy of service. Processing time takes the longest, we have a saying in the beauty world; “ it’s better to go low and slow than fast and crash”
